Capt. Brock Horner was born in Port Charlotte and is a 6th generation Florida native who grew up fishing Charlotte Harbor / Boca Grande areas with his grandfather, who taught him a lot about fishing at an early age. Capt. Brock fell in love with tarpon fishing the first time he caught one of these magnificent fish and from then on, he was hooked. This was more than a hobby, fishing and guiding became a lifestyle.

Brock is a Florida Gulf Coast University graduate and a U.S. Army Ranger Veteran (Paratrooper). Brock is an Operation Enduring Freedom / Operation Iraqi Freedom OEF/OIF veteran certified in CPR, AED, and Pediatrics. Brock is also part of the Wounded Warriors alumni association.
